Tenderfoot and Greenhorn found the land of the north

They walked slowly with care as they went forth

In this new land they found their own way

Growing stronger in both night and day

For Tenderfoot solefully treads the green lands

And Greenhorn feels with heart in both hands

Passing by the abode of another

It is best to go quietly and not be a bother

So welcome one, and welcome all

To the great midnight forest ball

Come with your heart honest and true

To dance in the frosty morning dew
