There is a clock inside my head

When I close my eyes and lay in bed

Like a fob watch it goes tick tock

As steady as a charged quartz rock

Crystal clear is the beat

As I feel the rising heat

Of a mended heart

That once forgot how to start

Like a steam engine on its tracks

My lungs fill the space my heart lacks

Then the rhythm flows to my hands

Reaching far across the lands

Flowing down to my soles

Which were once deep cavernous holes

So the clock ticking along

In an endless song

As I swim in dreams of crystal clear

The thyme is nigh, almost here
